How Does It Work? Saltwater chlorinators, like Saltmate, produce pure chlorine gas through electrolysis. This gas is then instantly introduced to the pool water. The system comprises an electrolytic cell, positioned after your filtration system, and a power supply situated nearby. With the Saltmate power supply, you can monitor and adjust the chlorine output, set the inbuilt clock, and manually control the pool filter pump and electrolytic cell.

The magic begins when a pinch of common salt meets the water. A safe, low voltage from the power supply to the electrolytic cell results in the immediate production of pure chlorine gas. This method of sanitisation is not only more reliable and convenient but also safer for your pool or spa.
